FujiMuse Privacy Policy

Introduction
FujiMuse ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application, visit the FujiMuse website, or join the Android beta waitlist.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Account Information: Email address, username, display name, profile picture, bio, and camera model when you create an account
- User Content: Photos you upload, recipes you create, posts, comments, and captions
- AI Chat Content: Messages you choose to send through our AI chat feature and the AI responses returned to you
- Purchase Tokens: Google Play purchase tokens used to verify paid feature access. We do not receive your payment card details.
- Beta Waitlist: Email address, consent date and version, language/locale, referring page, landing-page variant, and campaign attribution parameters you provide when joining the Android beta waitlist. The waitlist does not require a FujiMuse account.
Information Collected Automatically
- Usage Data: Features you use, actions you take, time and frequency of activities
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers
- Log Data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time spent
- Analytics Data: Firebase Analytics is disabled by default and collects aggregated usage events only after you grant consent in the app.
- Crash Reports: Firebase Crashlytics is disabled by default and collects crash logs only after you grant consent. Crash data does not include your personal content such as messages, photos, or recipe details.
- Website Analytics: The FujiMuse website uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to collect aggregated page-view, referral, device, general location, and performance measurements. Vercel Web Analytics does not use third-party cookies, does not associate events with an individual or IP address, and discards its temporary visitor-session identifier after 24 hours. We do not send waitlist email addresses to Vercel Analytics.
Information from Third Parties
- Authentication Providers: If you sign in with a third-party service, we receive your profile information from that service
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the FujiMuse app
- Process your transactions and subscriptions
- Send you technical notices and support messages
- Respond to your comments and questions
- Provide AI-powered recipe suggestions and chat responses
- Generate recipe previews using AI image processing
- Display your content to other users (posts, comments, profile)
- Analyze usage patterns to improve our services
- Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- Send requested Android beta invitations and the Google Play launch notice
- Measure which landing pages and campaigns result in waitlist signups
AI Features and Data Processing
AI Chat
- Messages you send to the AI assistant are routed through our Supabase Edge Function proxy to third-party AI services for processing
- FujiMuse currently uses Google Gemini as the primary AI chat provider and may use Anthropic Claude as a fallback
- When you use AI chat, your text messages and selected camera context may be sent to the AI provider through our server-side proxy
- Your photos are never sent to the AI chat service
- Chat history is stored locally on your device so the conversation can continue in the app. It is not persisted to our Supabase database.
- Provider retention and training terms are governed by the providers' commercial API terms
- AI-generated recipe suggestions are creative guidance, not guaranteed camera or vendor facts, and should be verified before use
Recipe Preview
- When you generate an AI-enhanced visual preview, your uploaded photo is sent through our server-side proxy to Replicate along with recipe parameters
- Images are processed by third-party AI models for style transfer. On-device LUT preview does not transmit photos.
- Generated previews are temporarily cached and may be stored in your post history
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information:
- With Service Providers: Cloud hosting and auth (Supabase), waitlist database hosting (Neon), website hosting and aggregated website analytics/performance monitoring (Vercel), AI chat processing (Google Gemini primary, Anthropic Claude fallback), AI image preview processing (Replicate), payment processing (Google Play Billing), and optional in-app analytics/crash reporting after consent (Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics)
- With Other Users: Your username, display name, profile picture, bio, posts, photos, recipe data, and comments are publicly visible to other users as part of the social features. Your email address is never displayed to other users.
- For Legal Reasons: When required by law or to protect rights and safety
- Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets
Data Retention
- Account Data: Retained while your account is active
- Posts and Content: Retained until you delete them or your account
- Chat History: Stored locally on your device until you clear it, delete the app data, or delete your account
- Telemetry: Retained for 14 months in Firebase only if you opt in
- Crash Reports: Retained for 90 days in Crashlytics only if you opt in
- Purchase Tokens: Retained for entitlement, tax, accounting, refund, and fraud-prevention needs
- Beta Waitlist: Retained until beta and launch communications are complete, or until you unsubscribe or request deletion, whichever comes first. An unsubscribed record may be retained in suppression form so we can honor the opt-out.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of your data
- Correction: Update inaccurate information
- Deletion: Delete your account and associated data
- Portability: Export your recipes and content in a portable format (JSON)
- Opt-out: Disable analytics and crash reporting consent in settings
- Marketing Opt-out: Unsubscribe from beta and launch emails at fujimuse-landing.vercel.app/unsubscribe or contact us

Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures including:
- Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS)
- Encryption at rest for sensitive data
- Secure authentication with JWT tokens
- Row-level security for database access
- Regular security audits
Children's Privacy
FujiMuse is not intended for children under 13 years of age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at daveyranda1985@gmail.com. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. Users between 13 and 18 should review this policy with a parent or guardian.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of changes by posting the new policy and updating the "Last Updated" date.
